Friday 13th December Connotations: We assume that the newspapers are sometimes made up of lies, simply due the lexis and the fact the typography includes logos of famous newspapers. It is conveyed that newspapers are owned by billionaires, which is again conveyed by the lexis. The motivation behind the image is to try and get people to vote for who they want to vote for in the general election, rather than letting the newspapers influence their vote.
